The study of customers’ users and their relationships with products. This process involves getting to know target audiences of particular systems, technologies from relevant fields, and the latest literature, and, of course, testing of each and every product to ensure they meet pre-set standards of quality, efficiency, ease-of-use, accuracy, and more. The result: mapping of usability challenges, user characteristics, and recommendations for improving existing interfaces.
